Ein junger Mann stürmt schwer bewaffnet die Technische Hochschule von Montreal. Er dringt in einen Seminarraum ein und trennt die fassungslosen Studenten nach ihrem Geschlecht. Während alle Männer den Saal verlassen müssen, bleiben die zu Tode verängstigten Frauen mit dem Amokschützen zurück. Es ist eine erbarmungslos kalte Szene – und da sie auf wahren Ereignissen beruht, ist ihr Ausgang kein Geheimnis: Viele Menschen sterben an diesem Tag. Dass diese Tragödie schon lange zurück liegt, nämlich Ende der 80er-Jahre geschah, mildert weder ihre Heftigkeit noch ihre Aktualität. Zu regelmäßig wiederholt sich dieser Wahnsinn, in den letzten Jahren auch in Deutschland.
